Do Good Works with Humility

I’m reading the book of James, and this verse from the 3rd chapter stood out for me today:

If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. (James 3:13 NLT)

I pray God will open my eyes to the work He has prepared in advance for me to do this day, and He will fill me with gentleness and kindness to do that work with joy in my heart. I pray God will grant me wisdom to discern and understand His will, and serve Him by serving others with a humble spirit.
